Maple Syrup Weight Watchers Points

So what kind of maple syrup have you all been using?

I have fallen in love with the real stuff... I order it thru the mail from The Vermont Country Store (mail-order catalog).  I think it's the Dark Amber Pure Maple Syrup.

Prior to that, I was using the Walden's Sugar Free Pancake Syrup (it's the only product of theirs that I like).  I'd like to find a good tasting SF syrup that is point-friendly.

If I am going to eat maple syrup, it's the real deal, 100% pure and not the sugar-free or any type with a bi-jillion ingredients, none of which are maple. I look at the "syrup" my husband uses and the first ingredient is HFCS. Yuck, but he's stubborn. I don't have it often but I do like to warm my maple syrup as it thins it out and a little does go a long way.

For day to day use, I use Vermont sugar free pancake syrup. But a small amount of the real stuff goes a long way on my glazed carrots. I just finished a small bottle of dark amber elderberry maple syrup that I got in a specialty store up in Vermont back in October.

I use Carey's sugar free syrup. I love this better than any other sugar free syrup. My daughter thinks I'm crazy because I don't like pure maple syrup. I guess I'm weird.

I like the fake stuff :D My favorite right now is called "Vermont Sugar Free Butter Flavor Low Calorie Syrup". I find it in my local grocery store.

I use real maple syrup, maybe because I live in New England! And I love the Vermont Country Store!

But I only have waffles or pancakes a couple times a year. If I ate syrup more often I'd probably look for an alternative.

......I look for Sugar Free syrups only. Regular syrups have way too many SPs. And have found that "Lite Syrups" are just slightly lower than regular syrups!!

I use real maple syrup. My dad makes it and it's amazing. It's much more flavourful and concentrated than the stuff that you buy. When I'm out of the stuff that he makes, I use Costco's pure maple syrup.

cj59 - I will have to look for that Vermont SF Butter Flavor syrup next time I'm at the store. Thanks!

100gone - I would LOVE to retire early and move to VT and work part time at The Vermont Country Store!!! I've never lived in the snow, so I don't know if I can handle living in snow - but I fantasize about that plan! I do love their catalog and I order from them quite often, especially around the holidays.

They do get a lot of snow in Vermont and then they have mud season! But summer and fall sure are beautiful.

My my plan is to retire in Florida and then just order from them. I'm done with snow!

Maybe I could be a Florida snow bird and live in VT during the summer & fall - and work in store! LOL
